Jennifer is a licensed individual, family and marital therapist with a Masters of Social Work, and has held a CA & WA teacher and a school social worker certification. She received her Bachelors of Art in Liberal Studies from Azusa Pacific University. After teaching several years, she realized she enjoyed parent/teacher conferences more than teaching subjects, so she pursued a career in counseling. She received her Masters in Social Work from Walla Walla University. In the mental health profession, she has done hospital, agency, and school work. She values volunteer work at: Grace Clinic, church, and her non-profit, NuShu Sisters.
Currently, she has her own private practice and thoroughly enjoys the honor of participating in one's personal growth. She is also a skilled presenter, offering keynotes, seminars, and workshops. Her college sweetheart & husband, Jake, is also a therapist in private practice, and a skilled presenter. Together, they have developed a couples on-line curriculum, One Kingdom which Jennifer blogs for and they present together. Implementing a peer marriage model, they raised their two children, McKenna and Dawson, and enjoy family vacations to the Oregon Coast, movie nights, kayaking and boating. When Jennifer is not counseling, teaching, parenting, or writing, you can find her curled up with a good book or relaxing near the river that runs through her Eastern Washington town in Richland. She is a lover of life, God, and people, and relishes in the beauty of the healing power of healthy relationships.
